Holdenville Police Department

The Holdenville Police Department is under the authority, supervision, and direction of Chief Jason Scroggins. The agency is composed of 11 full time uniformed police officers, 3 uniformed reserve police officers, 1 animal control officer,  as well as 1 full time, 1 part time, and several volunteer animal shelter attendants. These individuals serve a population of approximately 6,000 within a 5.4 square mile geographical jurisdiction 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Holdenville Police officers hold a cross-commission with the Muskogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Police Department. This commission grants officers the authority to file criminal charges against Native Americans who commit crimes within the City of Holdenville to the Muskogee (Creek) Nation Tribal Court.
